This Advertising Policy (“Policy”) applies to advertising content and materials (“Ads”) for advocacy and political content, including, but not limited to, elections, political parties, candidates, ballot measures, or fundraising for political candidates and ballot measures (collectively, “Political”) used in connection with the Viant/Adelphic platform (“Platform”). Political Ads must adhere to this Policy and the requirements of inventory and publisher partners, which require your ads to be transparent and lawful.

In general, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any agreement you may have in place with Viant/Adelphic or any of our inventory or publisher partners, any Political Ads run through the Platform must:

• Comply with all applicable laws, including all national election laws, copyright law, defamation law, and (as applicable) Federal Election Commission regulations and state or local laws and regulations;
• Not target based on race, ethnicity, religion or sensitive categories (e.g., medical or health information or status, sexual orientation, etc.);
• Include a “paid for by” message in ads that are followed by the name of the paying person or entity; and
• Not utilize symbols associated with a religion or other sensitive category in a way that is considered in poor taste or promoting extreme political agendas, hate, or criminal or terrorist activities.

We will review Political Ads on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to reject, suspend, or require modifications to Ads that we believe violate the standards listed above or that are otherwise inappropriate. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any agreement, Viant/Adelphic will not be held liable for any rejection, suspension, or removal of Political Ads by Viant or an inventory or publisher partner for failure to comply with their respective advertising policies or guidelines.

By running Political Ads through the Platform, you agree to the foregoing and represent that you are authorized to agree to these terms on behalf of the Viant/Adelphic customer you represent.
